In loving memory of Jessie L. Reeder of Oberlin, Ohio, born in Detroit, Michigan, who departed this world on January 1, 2025 at the age of 89. Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Oberlin (45 S Professor St, Oberlin, OH 44074). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

“Mrs. Reeder was my “school” momma. Verna Holley sent me to her and she cared well for me my freshman year at Oberlin. She challenged me to walk faithfully in who I was in Christ. Although I tried to rebel, her message has stayed with me. Today as a pastor a church, I often remember how God used her to sustain me in who I am in him.
