He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Sunshine and Ann Sunshine (Kaufman); his wife Anne F. Sunshine; and his brother Robert Sunshine. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Sunshine of Washington, DC and Thomas Sunshine of Liberty, SC; his grandchildren, Cynthia Minter, Anna Sunshine and James Sunshine II; his son-in-law Bill Minter; and his sister-in-law Marcia Grimm. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the James K. Sunshine '46 and Anne Fassett Sunshine '47 Endowed Scholarship Fund, which assists students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college.
