He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlee Hudson and Norma Mae Hudson; his son Karlous Hudson; and his siblings, Robert, Eddie, Arlee Hudson Jr. and Ollie Mae Gormer.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby Hudson of Oberlin; his sons, Harold Hudson Jr. of Conroe, TX, Eric Hudson of Oberlin and Jason Hudson (Virginia) of Oberlin; and his sisters, Audrey Mesheck and Ola Faye Nichols. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
