She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Rush Leslie Burns and Ruth Harriet Burns; her husband Kenneth Davis Roose; her son Kirk; and her siblings, David Burns, Ruth Douglass and Betsy Washburn.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Roose (Teresa Guajardo) of Olympia, WA, Deborah Roose (David Snyder) of Oberlin, OH and Paul Roose (Anne Lawrence) of Oakland, CA; her daughter-in-law Diana Roose of Oberlin, OH; her grandchildren, Carl Roose, Dain Roose-Snyder, Beirne Roose-Snyder, Emily Marsh, Carolyn Roose Eagle and Kevin Roose; and her great grandchildren, Wesley Keller, Bayard Keller and Vivian Marsh.
