She is survived by: her parents, George Walker and Rose Walker; her spouse Henry Chester Slocum Jr; her son Jeffrey Slocum of Oberlin; her brother George Walker of Montclair, N. J.; her granddaughter Amber Aller of Bardstown; and her great grandchildren, Isabella Aller and Catherine Bunch.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any organization dealing with the education of minorities.
