He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Walker and Etta Walker; his grandson David Ryan Walker II; and his siblings, William Walker and Elsie Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Walker; his children, Tracey Re'nee Thomas (Bryan) of Elyria, David R. Walker I of Vermillion, Kenny E. Phillips (Kimberly) of Oberlin, Melissa Arntzen (Timothy) of West Salem, Leslie Kozar (David) of Oberlin and Todd A. Walker (Lori Cuadros) of Orlando, Florida.; his grandchildren, Jordan Thomas, Lizzy Beard and Noah Arntzen; his great grandchild Laila Thomas; and his siblings, Bobby Lee Walker of Tennessee, Gary Walker of Tennessee, Opal Anderson of Tennessee and Donna Godbey (Charles) of Kentucky. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hempel Funeral Home (373 Cleveland Ave, Amherst, OH 44001). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
