He is survived by: his children, Tonia Whitfield (Allen), Theresa Cheers (Ray), Mary Allison (Tony), Katy Armstrong, Billy Whitfield (Delia) and Eric Whitfield (Carol); and his brother John Whitfield. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
