He is survived by: his stepfather Herbert "Buddy" Sprouse; his siblings, Debra Grant, Phyliss Lero, Herbert "Lee" Sprouse and Brenda Gum; his former wife Lynette Blankenship Hitt; his children, Michelle Lynn Hitt, Christine Dawn Hitt, Richele Lea Hitt and Charlie Thomas HItt; his husband Benjamin Joseph MacDowell; and also Regan Thomas Hitt.
