He was predeceased by: his father Robert Sr. Echelberry; his son Rodney Echelberry; his brothers, Kenny and John Echelberry; his siblings-in-law, Lawrence Schell, Dick Alderman and Betty Echelberry; and his nephew Scott Alderman.
He is survived by: his wife Ilona Echelberry (Haring); his children, Vicki Adkins (Ken), Lyle Echelberry and Angie Echelberry; his sister Wilma Miller; his sisters-in-law, Vicki Rohner (Dave) and Geraldine Alderman; and his caregiver Rose. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
