He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Glenn and Mavis Louise Merritt (Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ellen Rayle; his children, Michelle Gonzales of Payne, Lisa Foster (Kent) of Middlepoint, Jon Merritt (Debb) of Van Wert and Nicholas Merritt (Jessica) of Payne; and his brother Bill Merritt (Bert) of Oakwood. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
