He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Thomas and Rebecca Thomas (Matson); his stepmother Alma "Nell" Thomas (Johnson); his wife Lois Grunden; his brother Evan Thomas; and his great grandchild Elizabeth Lucas.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Grove (Steve) of Oakwood, David Thomas (Karen) of Payne and Rebecca "Becky" Hoisington (Jed) of Wren; and his grandchildren, Jodi Lucas of North Carolina, Hillary Grove of Oakwood, Niccole Muntzinger of Van Wert, Benjamin Thomas of Payne, Samuel Thomas of Cecil, Brandon Hermiller of Antwerp, Zachary Hermiller of Grover Hill, Chloe Hoisington of Wren and Techoa Hoisington of Wren.
