He was predeceased by: his fathers, James Lewis and Sam; his siblings, Robert Black (Bob) and Helen Simpson; and his granddaughter Destiny.
He is survived by: his wife Rose "Grinds" Black; his children, Samantha Arthur (Stephen) and Brandon Black (Gina); his siblings, Ernest Black (Bonnie), James Black (Jennifer), Dale Black (Becky), Lula Jones (Allen), Louise Denny and Beth Ann Hughes (Tom); his stepchildren, Christina Ratliff (Randy) and Stevie Estep (Jeff); his brother-in-law Wallace Simpson; his grandchildren, Austin, Mackenzie, Abby, Aiden, Christopher, Jayden, Isaiah, Braylen, Ryan, Levi, Katelyn and Blake; his great grandchild Hazel; and his close friends, Dale Tennet and Joe Gilland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
