He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Christian and Hazel Christian; his wife Phyllis Nance; and his siblings, Jenny Barnhart, Wilma Hughes and Don Christian.
He is survived by: his children, Bethany Cole (Randy) of Vincent, Gwen Smith (Brian) of Rogers, Arkansas and Bruce Christian (Alice) of Plano, Texas; his grandchildren, Justin Cole (Michelle), Derek Cole (Megan), Alexia Necessary (Derek), Landon Cole (Abby), Hayley Zupan, Brittani Durr (Michael), Alyssa Walker (Samuel), Nathaniel Smith (Jaime), Amelia Christian and Daniel Christian (Shelby); and his great grandchildren, Owen, Liana, Aralyn, Brenna, Paige, Hattie Cole, Sonnet, Hollis Necessary, Marlowe Zupan, Elijah, Emmalyn, Elliot Durr, Jameson, Norah, Holden Walker and Aurelia Smith.
