He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Chalk" Canter and Nora Canter (Roof); and his siblings, Jack Canter and Charlotte "Annie" Gray. He is survived by: his wife Dian Canter (Whitlatch); his son Charles Dean Canter (Paula); his granddaughter Tabitha Canter Fast (Nolan); his great grandchild Gwendolyn Ivy Fast; his sisters, Vickie Childers (John) and Kathy Adkins; his brothers-in-law, Kenny Gray and Clyde Whitlatch; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Gray, Mark Gray, Chad Snyder, Lori Petrocelli and Tara Stickley (Travis).
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home (202 Maple Ave, Oak Hill, OH 45656). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
