He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Sergent and Leona Sergent (Wilburn); his son Jason Sergent; and his siblings, Pearlean Stidham, Mary Sergent, James Sergent, Timothy Sergent and Tony Sergent.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacy Abner (Tommy) of Wilmington, Ohio; his grandchildren, Carley of Wilmington, Ricky of Houston, Dillon of West Chester, Ryan of Morrow and Sammy of Wilmington, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Ivan and Preston; and his siblings, Kathleen Juhasz, Don Sergent, Doug Sergent (Shirley), Gary Sergent (Sandy), Vicki Whittington (Tim), Greg Sergent and Marsha Adkins (Denver). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill (202 Maple Ave, Oak Hill, OH 45656). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
