He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Betts and Ethel McCain (Kuhn); and his siblings, Ruth Betts, Pearl Kelly, Jack Melvin Betts and William Fulk.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Betts (Thornton); his children, Edna White of Louisianna and Steven A. Betts (Debbie) of Oak Hill; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Betts of Oak Hill; his grandchildren, Stacey Vennes, Ronald Lee Riffe, Patricia Zinn, Tammy Ruth Betts, Christina Trowbridge, Kellie Chaney, Travis Lee McDaniel and Danielle Faith Gillum; his great grandchildren, Dakota Dowden, Steven E. Betts, Eric Zinn, Danielle Zinn, Macy Zinn, Kylan Childers, Jersey McDaniel, Charli McDaniel, Remington Biggs and Owen Gillum; his cousin Betty Betts; and his sons, Charles Edward Betts and Thomas Harrison Betts. He is also survived by children and other relatives and friends.
