He was predeceased by: his parents, Wally Woolum and Opal Woolum (Fairchild); and his son Gary Wood Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Woolum (Nelson); his siblings, Brenda Hanks, Linda Sue Brunton and Mike Woolum (Angie); his daughter Melissa Myatt (Joey); and his grandchildren, Alissa Wood, Tristan Myatt and Cierra Myatt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill (202 Maple Ave, Oak Hill, OH 45656). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
