She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Coleman and Octavia Blackburn (Maynard); her husband Delbert Carter; and her children, Karen Markham and Steve Carter.
She is survived by: her son Terry Carter of Jackson; her grandchildren, Michael Roach (Angie), Chris Carter (Stephanie), Ronelle Jenkins (Shane), Tara Martin (Doug), Dava Smith (Scott) and Devon Chavez (Josh); and her children-in-law, Michelle Carter and Dale Markham. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
