He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin N. Cooper Sr. and Abbie Cooper (Fulk); and his siblings, Myrna Farmer, Neddie "Bo" Cooper and Ithiel Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, Neal and Reda Cooper; his grandchildren, Krista, Adam and Kaitlyn Cooper; his siblings, Wilma (Ron), Terry (Trina), Ronnie and Artie (Lucilla); his nephew Roy; and his niece Kathy Hemphill. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
