He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl "Bud" and Lavada Meis (Behm); and his brother James Meis. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Meis; and his children, Kelly Meis, John Meis (Diane), Christine Quinlivan (Jon) and Steven Meis (Misty). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
