She was predeceased by: her parents, William Darr and Clara Darr (Kessler); her husband Wilbur Steindam; and her son-in-law Douglas Palmer. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Steindam (John Fagan) of Elmhurst, IL, William Steindam (Mary) and Thomas Steindam (Carmel) of Falls Church, VA; her granddaughters, Tammy Myers (Matt) and Claire Nguyen (Francis); her great grandchildren, Allison and Breanna Myers; and her sister Monica Steindam.
