She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Schafer and Nelta Schafer (Parman); her husband Frederick Deitzel; her son David Deitzel; her daughter-in-law Jane Deitzel Whittington; and her sisters, Winona Schafer and Laura Foust.
She is survived by: her daughter Lynn Deitzel of Oak Harbor, OH; her grandchildren, Joanna Chellew of Florida, Brice Deitzel of Idaho, Elizabeth Huntley of Washington, Mona Deitzel of Pennsylvania and Sarah Morrison of Washington; and also David Whittington. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
