He was predeceased by: his father John J. McGowan; and his brothers, Joseph and Kevin. He is survived by: his mother Mary Anne McGowan (Flint); his wife Dawn Beck of Wayne; his children, Josh McGowan of Oak Harbor and Stephanie Hathaway (Zach) of Wayne; his siblings, William McGowan (Michele) of Versailles, Kentucky and Christina Chretien of Rochester; his grandchildren, Jade, Ethan, Layla, Timothy, Jordan, Cara and Mason; and his pet Wagz.
