He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Gilbert and Dorothy Gilbert (Cotterman); his son Jeffrey Gilbert; his siblings, Robert Gilbert (Sandy), Lyle Gilbert and Eleanor Cockrell (James); his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Dorothea Perry; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald, Alan Perry and Norma Jean Perry.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Kathryn Perry; his daughters, Kathryn Oborn (Craig) and Michelle Smith (William); his pets, Moocher and Sophie; his siblings-in-law, Judith Perry, David Perry (Sharon) and Carol Perry; and also, Dustin Twarek (Nicci King), Bethany Brikmanis (Alexander), Chelsea Wyss (Brian), Zachary Smith (Amanda Lorenz), Leo, Amelia and Aryanna. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
