He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Johns and Edna Johns (Wendt); and his siblings, Bud Johns, Jerry Johns, Joann Siefke and Barbara Sprouse.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Johns (Hetrick); his children, Amy Johns and J. P. Johns; and his sisters, Frances Wilson, Faye Rife and Karen Sue Anderson.
