It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald J. Mencl of Nova, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jaroslav Mencl and Mildred L. Mencl. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Mencl of Nova; his children, Brandy Rennu (Christopher) of Ashland, Jerry Mencl (Heather) of Nova, Paul Mencl of Kannapolis and Mason Mencl of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, James Setlock of Ashland, Penny Rose and Claire Violet Mencl of Nova; his sisters, Joanie Mencl of Independence and Marsha Nall (Larry) of Independence; and also Michael Mencl (Barbara) of Edinburg, Ohio..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice with the intention that Jerry lived his life by giving to those in need.
