He is survived by: his wife Joyce Abbott-Rutledge; his children, Jody Sherrill (Jason), Billy Rutledge (Lori), Scott Rutledge (Sarah), Amy Rutledge-Banks and Shane Rutledge; his stepchildren, Mary Abbott and Robert Abbott, Jr. (Penny); and his siblings, Chris Rutledge and Betty "Pennie" Bally (Pete). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a few nieces & nephews.
