He was predeceased by: his parents, Merl Prouty and Josephine Pyle Prouty; and his siblings, Dennis Prouty, Gene Prouty, Gail Prouty, Geneva Vernon McCarty and Glenna Bash.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lyons Prouty; his children, Greg Prouty (Paula), Susan Irwin, Joyce Schneider (Bobby), Jane Prouty-Zuccolillo (Joey) and Laurie Wisnefski (Jeff); his siblings, Lester Prouty (Trudy) and Naomi Worthington; his grandchildren, Kyle Dellamora (David), Jennifer Morrill (Nick), Megan Prouty, Sydney Wisnefski, Dalton Wisnefski, Lucas Wisnefski, Carson Schneider and Chase Schneider; his great grandchildren, Ryder Dellamora, Finley Dellamora and Knox Morrill; his mother-in-law Betty Lyons; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Kearns, Stan Lyons (Bernie) and Robert Bash; and his friend Josh Van Horn (Renee).
