She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellsworth John and Virginia Kemming; her husband Glenn Thaxton; and her siblings, Robert Owen Kemming, Ellsworth "John" Kemming and Mary.
She is survived by: her daughter Kristin L. Short; her granddaughter Nicole; her siblings, Edward Kemming (Connie), Grace L. Reed (Rick) and Barbara Barnett (Gary); and her sister-in-law Betty Kemming. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
