We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2022, at the age of 99, Wilma J. Hammersmith of Norwalk, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Josephine Didion (Ringlein); and her siblings, Gerald, Gilbert, Celestine, Isadore, Eugene, Herbert Didion, Sally Eberly and Gertrude Holmer.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen R. Stoll (Gerald) of Sandusky, Eugene H. Hammersmith (Nancy) of Norwalk, Glenn A. Hammersmith (Vicki) of Norwalk, Dale J. Hammersmith (Jean) of New London, Debra A. Ickes (Ted) of Norwalk and Bruce A. Hammersmith (Janine) of Bay View, Ohio; and her sister Connie Hipp of Norwalk. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Alphonsus Church or Stein Hospice through the funeral home.
