It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William A Rice of Norwalk, Ohio, born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, who passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Rice and Alice Rice (Brown); his stepfather Charles Odle; and his brothers, Robert Rice, Everett Rice and Clarence Lee Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Rice; his daughters, Mary Haugen (Joshua), Kathy Nansel (Vern), Debbie Sanchez (John) and Brenda Campbell (Eric); his grandchildren, River, Ashley, Justin, Austin, Jake, Garrett, Cole, Ruth, Joshua, Klara, Jonathan and Lyla; his great grandchildren, Sky and Brysen; and his sister Carolyn Braddock. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home (98 W Main St, Norwalk, OH 44857). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions made in William's name can made out to any charitable cause of the donors choosing.
