He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Marshall and Donna Jean Marshall Jr. (Adams); his former wife Teresa Marie Marshall; his children, Aaron Williams and Tyanna T. Kitts; and his siblings, Phyllis Williams, Arlene Carter and Terry Marshall.

He is survived by: his wife Ludie Marshall (Ezell) of Norwalk; his children, DeWayne "Kup" Williams of New London, William Kitts and Ayanna Kitts of Georgia; his stepchildren, David Frankart of Kunkle, OH, Cyndy Frankart, Elton Frankart of Norwalk, Chris Stahl of Wellington, Angie Richardson of Norwalk and April Randelman of South Carolina; and his siblings, Rodney Marshall (Dorothy "Dot"), Gregory Marshall (Debbie), Karin Colhran (Roy) and Rebecca Pryor (James). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Red may be directed to the Second Baptist Church.
