William L. Taraschke Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William L. Taraschke of Norwalk, Ohio, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on April 7, 2021 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William L. Taraschke to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Taraschke and Mary Taraschke (Quillin); and his brother Duke Taraschke. He is survived by: his wife Dennie Taraschke (Graham); his children, Jodi Lynn Taraschke of Brewster, OH, Kristi Lynn Taraschke-Bell (Ronald) of Carlisle Township, OH, Katherine Mary Taraschke of Boston, MA and William Jeffrey "Jeff" Taraschke (Linda) of Medina, OH; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madison and Faith.

Because Bill was on life support and his daughter Kristi's wedding had previously been rescheduled due to COVID, Kristi and family made the decision to have her wedding ceremony in her father's hospital room, so he could give her away.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to contribute to Bill's memory may do so to the Dr. William Taraschke Fund at Baldwin Wallace University, 275 Eastland Rd., Berea, OH 44017.

Kevin Stoll wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Dennie and family, My deepest condolences. Coach was the best. A conversation with him always made my day better. We sometimes talked about Milan Ohio and mutual acquaintances, sometimes we talked about research, sometimes I just listened to his stories, and although I was on the track team, we were less likely to be talking about it. I really enjoyed his multiple interests, leadership, and entertaining stories. I cherish all my memories with him. With love, Kevin Stoll”
