It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard D. Doney Sr. of Norwalk, Ohio, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Christopher Doney; his wife Betty Doney; his stepfather George Gaag; his brother Carl Doney; and his half-siblings, Glenn Gaag and Irene Delamater.
He is survived by: his close friend Phyllis Perry; his children, Richard D. Doney, Jr. (Deborah Baker) of Burgoon, OH, Gary Doney (Rebecca Mullins) of Huron, OH, Gail Witter (Dennis) of Norwalk, OH, Lisa Lau of Norwalk, OH and Greg Doney of Marietta, GA; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam, Joseph, Emily, Christopher and Cody. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
