He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Saxton and Doris Saxton; his sister Kathy O'Neil; his son Christopher Doyle; his grandson Nicholas Hager; and his great grandchild Dominic Goines.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Saxton (Nickoli); his children, David Saxton (Jenny) of Lansing, MI, Mary Saxton of Norwalk, Patti Konapka (Matt) of Westland, MI, Jeff Nickoli (Patti) of Norwalk, Vicki Hager (Jim) of Norwalk and Tim Nickoli (Tami) of Norwalk; his sister Janie Goley; and his close friend George Benavides. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
