He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ed and Bill Kompa. He is survived by: his wife Barb Kompa (Inman); his sons, John R. Kompa Jr. (Natalie) of Columbus, Ohio and Brian M. Kompa of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Ben, Olivia, Paige, Brock and Brook Kompa; his siblings, Susan Dillon (Richard) of Clermont, Richard Kompa (Betty) of Douglas, Thomas Kompa (Michele) of Orefield and Marianne Kompa of Cary; and his sister-in-law Elaine Kompa of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania..

Those who will be visiting at the funeral home and the church are reminded to bring and wear a mask and practice all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines.
