He is survived by: his son Rusty Ortner (Jenny); his stepsons, Brian and Mark Gainok; his grandchildren, Haley, Madison, Lucy, Katelyn and Claire; and his siblings, Robert Ortner of New London and Carol Stoepker (Dave) of Portage, MI..
