He was predeceased by: his father Alva Gilson; and his son-in-law Ron Leto. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Gilson (Smith); his children, Richard Gilson (Cheryl) of Michigan, Ronald Gilson (Julie) of Norwalk, Sheryl Wilhelm (Joe) of Monroeville and Sandra Leto of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Ryan Gilson (Katie), Megan Stempin (Anthony), Ashley Krupp (Dan), Angela Upson (Matt), Amanda Niese (Aaron), Abby Wilhelm, Jacob Gilson (Rachel), Kaitlyn Gilson, Danielle Dendinger (Geoff) and Derek Leto; and his great grandchildren, Scout, Porter Krupp, Kennedy Niese, Theo Gilson, Aiden and Leo Dendinger.
