Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Elmer of Norwalk, Ohio, born in Tiffin, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 97, on October 6, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Elmer and Minna Elmer (Schauss); and his wife Isabelle "Izzy" Kellogg. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Arthur of Charlottesville, Virginia, Diane Wynn (Ron) of Milan and Douglas Elmer (Debbie) of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Heather Elmer (Mark DeYoung) of Oberlin, Jeremy Wynn (Tonya Lloyd) of Norwalk, Alicia Elmer (John Schmidt) of Thompson, Julienne DeLapp (Jordan) of Norwalk and Emily Arthur (Hannah Bliss) of Santa Monica, California; his great grandchildren, Katie Fisher (Carey), Gavin Wynn, Bella Kattas, Alex Wynn, Lee Schmidt, Will Schmidt and Evelyn DeLapp; his great great grandchild Jude Fisher; his niece Amy Kellogg of Avon; his nephew John Kellogg of Avon Lake; his great-nephew Charles Kellogg (Melissa) of Amherst; and also, Tyler, Maddon Kellogg of Amherst and Charley Kellogg of Amherst.
Out of respect, and practicing an abundance of caution, all services will be held outdoors at Woodlawn Cemetery to allow for maximum social distancing.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Norwalk Parks and Recreation Department or the Humane Society.
