He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Howard C. and Mary E. Sparks (Shondel); his wife Audrey Sparks (Vanderaar); his brother F. Edward Sparks; his parents-in-law, John and Elizabeth Vanderaar (Kovalsky); his sisters-in-law, Patricia Sparks and Patricia Vanderaar; and his great-nephew Jason Sparks.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Behary (Michael L.) of West Salem and Michael Sparks of Bucyrus, Ohio; his grandson Daniel Woods (Gilicove) of Akron, Ohio; his children, Andrew Woods of Los Angeles, California, Matthew Woods of Medina, Ohio, Kristen Woods (Christian Baughman) of Seville, Ohio, Caitlyn Sparks of Bucyrus, Ohio, Amanda Ballmer (Boston) of Swartz Creek, Michigan and Nathan Sparks of Columbus, Ohio; his stepgrandson Michael A. Behary of Medina, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Finnegan Woods of Akron and Ella Claire Temple; his brother Ronald Sparks of Monroeville; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Sparks of Plain City and John Vanderaar of Berea; and his close friends, Jerry Everhart, Norman Roeder and Tara Henderson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
