He was predeceased by: his parents, Fay Leary, (Smith) and Henry Leary, Sr.; his daughters, Sheila Diane Hopkins and Rhoda Jean Anderson; and his siblings, Carol Thorton, Gary, Donald and Edwin Leary.

He is survived by: his wife Della "Myrtle" Leary (Keener); his daughter Kimberlee Ann Leary of Florida; and his grandchildren, Myrtle, Vickie Slater of Westerville, Julie Rivera of Norwalk, Jason, Dennis, Angela, Virginia, Kealyn and Steven. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
