He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zakerski and Mary Zakerski (Mientkiewicz); his wife Marian Zakerski (Norrie); and his brothers, Robert and Ralph Zakerski.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Taylor (Randy) of Huron and Mark Zakerski (Kelly) of Huron; his grandchildren, Shelly Stone (James), Erica Proy (Casey), Jennifer Wilkins, Michael Zakerski (Holly), Lindsay Zakerski and Rylie Zakerski; his close friend Mary Giordano; and also, Gary and Deb Goodsite. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Due to State recommendations social distancing and masks will be required.
She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 58, and Jerry took care of her at home for the next 18 years until she passed in 2008.
