He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Alpha Laverne Sams (Statesel); and his siblings, Marie Stout, Alpha Johns, Charles Sams, Earl Sams, Glenna Mullins and Louis Sams.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Sams (Missler) of Norwalk; and his siblings, Charlene Gilliam, Frank Sams (Dorothy), John Sams (Gerry) and Rita Wechter (Thomas). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
