He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Schafer and Laurencia Schafer. He is survived by: his wife Alma Schafer; his children, Tammy Shupe (David) and Fred Schafer; his grandchildren, Mandy Frank (Justin), Brittany Moyer (Tim), Luke Shupe (Arissa), Chris Schafer and Olivia Schafer; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Briar Frank and Eisley Moyer; and his brother George Schafer (Patty).
