He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Wechter and Clara Wechter (Pifer); and his siblings, Art, Tony, Alfred, Joe, Florence, Delores, Edna, Martha and Bernice.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wechter (Hepp) of Norwalk; and his children, Thomas Wechter (Rita) of Norwalk, Nancy Dilger (Bob) of Norwalk, Jerry Wechter of Chicago and Sandy Jones (Mike) of Norwalk. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
