He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosalee H. Poore (Shelton) and Wilmer H. Dotson; and his siblings, Donna Dotson Verzone, Dianna Haynes, Charles Wade Poore and Darrell Lee Poore.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl A. Dotson of Norwalk; his siblings, Deborah Hite of Ellenboro, Darlene Archer of Greenwich, Danita Tellado of Newton, Dennis Dotson of New London and Jessie Poore of Icard; and his sons, Joe Dotson and Nicholas Dotson. He is also survived by one stepdaughter, Lyndie Board, by two granddaughters, by two grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
