He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marietta and Edna Marietta; his wife Mae Marietta; his sisters, Bonnie Childers, Barbara Blystone and Patricia Liles; his half-sister Iverna Fallecker; his brother Homer Marietta; and his grandson Ian Michael Marietta.
He is survived by: his son Chuck Marietta (Jennifer) of Norwalk; his stepdaughter Teresa Palumbo (Joey) of David, KY; and his grandchildren, Austin Marietta (Joslyn) of Monroeville and Chelsea Zell (Gavin) of Marysville.
