It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Fortner of Norwalk, Ohio, born in Montgomery, West Virginia, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Maurer and Verna Maurer (Metheney); his wife Kathy Meyer Fortner; his daughter Kaitlyn Fortner; his sisters, Joyce G. Gilbert and Carla Fortner; and his sister-in-law Jodie Fortner.
He is survived by: his siblings, Tammy Perkins (Bob), Debbie Hanson (Paul), Roger Fortner and Mike Maurer (Nikki). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Out of respect for all those attending visitors are encouraged to wear a mask if they are able and practice all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
