With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol J. Schafer of Norwalk, Ohio, who passed away on September 12, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James T. Hess and Doris J. Hess (Knapp); and her siblings, James Hess, Patricia Montgomery and Jerry "Bugs" Hess.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Schafer; her sons, Richard A. Schafer (Sheila) of Clear Water, FL and Randall S. Schafer (Mandy) of Monroeville; her grandchildren, Jamie, Brady, Aidan, Ian, Alec, Joshua and Zachary; her great grandchild Haisley; and her siblings, Sharon Eastman (Gary) of Norwalk, John Hess of North Fairfield, Cindy Carey (Ron) of Toledo, Jeff Hess (Peggy) of New London and Lynda Hess (Kim) of Norwalk.
