She was predeceased by: her mother Maria Salyer (Hildebrand); and her grandson Dylan Thornton. She is survived by: her husband Wayne A. Breitigan of Norwalk; her children, Maria Gilbert (Greg) of Norwalk, Derek Thornton (Harley) of Tiro and Seth Thornton (Gwen) of Norwalk; her grandchildren, Emily, Abi, Bradley, Annabella, Jasper and Chance; her father Wilbur E. Salyer of Greenwich; and her brother Raymond Salyer (Debra). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
